Mind Body Spirit Cooperative (MBSC) is a health, fitness and well-being cooperative located in Scranton, Pennsylvania. MBSC is comprised of smaller businesses as members.  These businesses offer several disciplines in the health/fitness spectrum.   While focusing on members' needs, cooperatives work for the sustainable development of their communities through policies accepted by their members; they are a cohesive organization with a common purpose.
The purpose of MBSC is to make available to the community opportunities for good physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health at maintainable costs.

Co-operatives are a business model that exists to serve its members, whether they are the customers, the employees, or the local community.  The cooperative as a form of business organization began during the Industrial Revolution. Cooperatives promoted the interests of the less powerful members of society. Workers, consumers, farmers, artisans and others found that they could accomplish more by combining their resources and working together.
The members are the owners, with an equal say in what the co-operative does.  This mix of self-help and mutual aid has made co-operative business an international force for good.  100 million people around the world are employed by co-operatives, whilst nearly 1 billion are members.
Cooperatives are autonomous, self-help organizations controlled by their members with a deep concern for community.  While focusing on members' needs, cooperatives work for the sustainable development of their communities through policies accepted by their members.

New Leaf Meditation  -   a community dedicated to helping each other learn about meditation and wellness for free.  We have been teaching meditation to beginners, supporting each other in sustaining a daily practice and exploring wellness, and then training volunteers as local chapter organizers and meditation instructors. We're growing quickly. To date we've taught thousands of people how to meditate, have 34 volunteer meditation instructors, local chapters from London to LA and over 50,000 in our online groups. 

YogaScranton - Barbara Tierney has been studying Kundalini Yoga for the past 12 years and yoga for the past 22 years.  Studying at Dhyana Yoga in Philadelphia she received a 100 hour certification in 2009.  She received certification with the Kundalini Research Institute (KRI), based in Espanola, NM, in the 250+ Hour certification program in 2012.  She had the great honor and privilege of studying under

Dr. Mahan Rishi Singh Khalsa and Nirbhe Kaur Khalsa of Khalsa Healing Arts and Yoga Center in Yardley Pa., and Princeton, NJ.  These two enlightened and knowledgeable beings were among the first students of Yogi Bhajan in the 1970’s and later his confidants.

Her teaching experience includes Khalsa Healing Arts in Yardley, Pa., Possibilities Awareness Center, Scranton, Pa., Dhyana Yoga Studios in Philadelphia, Pa., Balance Chiropractic Center, Philadelphia, Pa., Calm Massage Yoga Reiki Studio, Philadelphia, Pa., Wyoming County Cultural Society, Tunkhannock, Pa., Keystone College, LaPlume, Pa., Mind Bosy Spirit CoOp, Scranton, Pa. and private lessons in home studio.

BEX Body Sculpting - Rebecca Sitar  -  is a certified Holistic Personal Trainer and Life Coach with a certification in sports nutrition. She is certified through AAAI/ISMA. Beckie has practiced, studied and taught yoga for over 15 years. Bex mission is to help people achieve their fitness goals
with a connection to their mind, body and spirit.
Beckie believes that anyone could sculpt their body using proper diet , nutrition and exercise . She has developed a training method known as , S.T.E.P. or Sitar Training Exercise Program, is designed to each individual. We use a four phase tier program that will build strength and endurance .
The exercise program works to achieve each client's specific and ultimate goal. The program mainly consists of a combination of cardio interval training,resistance training, weight training, yoga and pilates.
